It all started with one client.

They were recently diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis and could no longer fully participate in their beauty routine. As an occupational therapist (OT), my job was to help them access the things most important to them, and we kept coming up against barriers. While many tools existed to support participation in their feeding, dressing, and bathing, there was almost nothing available to adapt their beauty routine. This client had spent their entire life in the beauty world, was trying to become an esthetician, and we could not find easily accessible beauty products that would work for them.

To me, this was unacceptable. Armed with my knowledge as an OT and a passion for beauty, I started Occupation Beauty, a beauty brand consultancy where I use my unique background as licensed OT to advocate, educate, and increase inclusion within the beauty industry. Because everyone deserves to easily access the products that make them feel most beautiful.

Accessibility is the Standard. Not the Exception.
